Partnerships for Inclusion in Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) project

The PINS Project

The Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools (PINS) is a national programme funded by the Department for Education and coordinated by NHS England. Its purpose is simple but powerful: to embed inclusive practice across mainstream schools and improve outcomes for neurodiverse children and young people.

Through PINS, schools have received tailored training, environmental audits, and access to a wide range of workshops and resources. Parents, carers, and professionals are also involved, ensuring that lived experience and expert insight shape the support offered. This collaborative approach strengthens schools, families, and communities, creating environments where every learner can thrive.

On this website you will find recordings of PINS training workshops, Videos and resources.

Making Inclusive Education Accessible and Sustainable

This website has been created to capture the great work that has happened across PINS so that it is available to all. By sharing recordings of training workshops, commissioned videos, and practical resources, we aim to make inclusive practice accessible, sustainable, and replicable across schools and communities.

By sharing knowledge, building confidence, and promoting genuine inclusion, PINS is helping schools across Humber and North Yorkshire to make lasting change for neurodiverse learners.

The Senses at School: Helping Me Grow

This short, child-centred film offers a powerful glimpse into the sensory world of school. It demonstrates how children experience their environment in different ways, and how the right support can transform overwhelm into calm, and uncertainty into confidence. A compassionate look at what helps every child feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.
